I performed with Shirley Jones in The Sound of Music as a nun in the abbey and was also in On a Clear Day with Shirley Jones and Billy Hayes. In this musical, I played Shirley Jones’ double as “Daisey.” During the show, we traveled to Dayton, Warren, and Columbus, OH.

My Teaching Style

When providing lessons, I use a fun, innovative, creative, and traditional style of teaching. I accept voice, piano, and organ students of all ages. I like to start with children at the age of five or six but will work with students who are older. I also provide lessons on comprehensive musicianship covering a wide range of topics, including music theory, technique, facility, interpretation and dynamic skills, music history and appreciation, and sight-reading and sight-singing. My overall philosophy of education is that of high expectations of accomplishment for each student.

I charge $22.00 per half hour on instruction. Typically, I teach one music lesson, per student, per week; however, one-hour lessons can be arranged. I do ask students to pay upfront for the month, which equals $88.00 per month.

Music Competitions

This competition is for classical music performers in Junior High/ Middle School and High School.

My students compete in both solo and ensemble categories in District 12. They will earn their rating through the OMEA.

T.O.P. Flight (Teens Offering Praise) – This is a Christian event for children aged 12 to 18. The competition is for Christian music only, such as contemporary and country Christian music. My students will compete against each other in various song and age categories to win recognition and trophies.

All music competitions are annual. Additionally, I will prepare my students for other events, such as school auditions, community music programs and theater auditions, MUSE MACHINE, talent shows, beauty pageants, and weddings.
